Superior All-Green Compost is 100% organic compost, derived from 100% plant sources. Unlike many other compost, Superior All-Green Compost contains no sewage, biosolids, or “sludge”, as these materials are sometimes called.
Compost is an excellent source of organic matter when added to your native soil. Organic matter content is a critical component of soil structure, influencing the soil workability, water-holding capacity, microbial activity and ultimately, the soil’s fertility.
Superior All-Green Compost is a “mature” compost, meaning that the pH is stabilized between 7.0 and 8.0, and the Carbon-to-Nitrogen (C:N) ratio averages 14:1 or below. The C:N ratio is an accurate measurement of the completeness of the composting process – the lower the ratio, the more complete the composting. Because of this complete composting process, Superior All-Green Compost contains no weeds or pathogens, and is suitable for all horticultural applications.
By itself or blended with other soil additives, such as gypsum or sulfur Superior All-Green Compost is an excellent foundation for establishment of turf, both for lawns and high-performance sport fields.
Superior's All-Green Compost is screened to 3/8” minus, this material is ready for any application, from landscaping to agricultural uses. Superior All-Green Compost has been widely used throughout western regional states on school projects, highway, projects, parks, sports fields, commercial and residential landscaping.
Superior All-Green Compost is a dense material, weighing an average of 1,125 pounds per cubic yard, or 1.7 yards per ton.
